I got to my Grandpa’s house today around 3 after my last two distillery visits. We sat and talked for a while before making some pork chops for dinner. Afterwards he showed me some of the various woodworking projects he has completed, which has given me something to aspire to.
We spent most of the rest of the evening watching Nascar and reading. I found out that unlike most grandparents, my grandpa doesn’t go to sleep till midnight every night and also sleeps in until 9:30 or 10, which are my kind of hours.
The next morning I met up with my aunt Tish and her husband Steve, piled into their truck with Sierra and a Ranger four wheeler and headed out to my uncle Tom’s house.
We got to Tom’s and unloaded the truck just below his house. We took the Ranger up the driveway, and just as we got to the top of the hill Sierra decided to run back down to play with a little dog that had followed us most of the way up. After dragging her back up the hill we went inside, said hello and watched a few minutes of the Steelers getting crushed before heading out in the Ranger up the hill further to their campsite.
We sat and ate lunch at the campsite and watched Colton and Luke run around swinging golf clubs and sticks and trying to keep up with Sierra.
When we finished our lunch we followed Tom out to fill his corn feeders then set out on a 4-wheeler trail to take a tour of the area.
We headed back to grandpas and met up with my cousin David, his wife Danielle and their son Elijah. We went out to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant, where we also met David’s brother Tyler and his girlfriend Selena. After dinner I went back to grandpas an relaxed for the rest of the evening.
The next day was mostly spend relaxing and watching football. I did meet up with my uncle George for a half hour or so as well. Grandpa had been telling me about how he bakes bread every week, so we decided to bake a loaf of raisin bread.
While we let the bread proof we went out for my grandpas evening walk, but this time we went out to a local park and went for a little longer than normal.
We got back and baked the loaves while watching football for the rest of the evening.

Love this picture of you and your grandfather!
